Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk closed out its 12-episode spring 2026 run on June 27, and Japanese fans spent the following days crowning the drinking-and-yuri drama the season's quiet masterpiece. Under a Japanese reviewer's finale wrap-up, the comments broke down exactly why it landed: three couples each written in a different key, grown-up romance told through liquor, literature and film instead of direct confessions, studio Soigne's metaphor-heavy direction, ending themes that sent viewers off in tears every week, and the original author Hei personally drawing key animation. The one honest asterisk — episode 3's divisive art — only sharpened the love, and the season-two tea-leaf reading is already in full swing. The last word goes to a fan whose wallet took collateral damage.
