  藤本タツキはとっくの昔にCSM（チェンソーマン）に心が折れてたんだよ。この最終話がそれを証明しちまった。『ほらよ、これで満足だろ』を最終回の形にしたら、これ以上のお手本は他に読んだことがない。とにかく早くこの件を片付けたかったんだ

  Fujimoto was mentally finished with CSM for a long time and this chapter just proved it to me. I've never read a finale that embodied "Here, damn." more than this. He wanted to get this shit out of the way

  藤本が『チェンソーマンの後は作画を別の人に任せたい』って言い出した時点で、あぁもう飽きてるなって分かったよ。この人、描くのが嫌いなんだ。もし作画を誰かに任せてたら、また違う物語になってたのかもな

  The moment the man was talking about getting an artist to draw for him after chainsaw man, I knew he was over it. He hated drawing. If someone did the art for him, we might have gotten a different story.

  この結末を見てると、『ウォーキング・デッド』がもし本当に、リックが平和な世界の病院で目を覚まして終わってたらどんな気分だったろうな、って考えちゃうわ

  俺もまさにそう思ってた、この結末なんか二次創作(ファンフィク)みたいなんだよ。どこかのファンが『キャラたちにこんなに苦しんでほしくない、実は全部夢でしたってことにして、デンジが目を覚ましてパワーやナユタと一緒にいて、みんな幸せ』って書いたやつみたいな。要するに、何も回収しない唐突な結末を誤魔化すために、読者が欲しがるものを片っ端から与えてるだけ

  I was thinking exactly that, this ending felt like fanfiction. Like some fan just felt “I don’t want the characters to suffer so much, it was actually all a dream, denji woke up and now he’s with power and nayuta and everyone is happy”. Basically giving the audience everything they want to try and smooth over the sudden ending that doesn’t answer anything.

  This "timeline" feels a lot like an infinite tsukuyomi because the details just don't line up. It's like Denji's brain is unconciously scrambling up memories

  俺の考察は、ポチタが自分を喰った時点でデンジは死んでて、最期の一瞬に“最高の人生”を夢想してる、ってやつ😂

  My theory is that Denji died when Pochita eat himself and Denji is living his final moments imagining living his best life😂

  最後のセリフでデンジが『飯代を先輩たちにたかりに行こう』って言ってるから、あれはアキやヒメノも生きてるって示唆なんだよ

  It is suggested that Aki and Himeno are around because of the last text bubble where Denji says they should go harass their seniors for food money.

  この結末が嫌いってわけじゃない、もっと酷いのも山ほど見てきたし。ただ伏線を大量に放置してるし、正直かなりの回数『？』ってなったよ。期待外れだったし、それがすげぇ辛いんだ、チェンソーマン本当に好きだったから。 第一部はほぼ完璧だった。第二部は上がり下がりが激しかったけど、続いてる間は楽しい旅ではあった。たぶんこれはオープンエンドな結末で、もしかしたら俺の読解力(メディアリテラシー)が足りないだけで、この最終話は実は傑作なのかもしれない。でも、俺には分からん

  I don't hate this ending, I've seen MUCH worse but it left a lot of plot points unanswered and honestly left me pretty confused a lot of times. This ending was a let down and that hurts me alot because I really liked Chainsaw man. Chainsaw man Part 1 was damn near perfect but Part 2 has had crazy ups and downs but atleast it was a fun journey while it lasted. This probably one an open ended ending and maybe my media literacy isn't strong enough and this chapter is actually a masterpiece but I don't get it.

  Fujimoto just got bored of csm. So he just gave us the impossible ending we wanted Power is back Nayuta is alive Asa is OK This is why the ending is bad and good at the same time

  第二部の主題は『デンジはチェンソーマンでいる限り、絶対に幸せにはなれない』ってことだったと思う 作品の全部が無かったことにされた、というより、デンジは自分の人生を生きようとしたけど、“チェンソーマンになる”という選択肢が常に目の前にある限り、彼が心の平穏を得ることは絶対になかったんだ（自分の選択のせいであれ、外部の要因が彼を平穏に生かしてくれないのであれ） だからポチタは、事実上デンジにもう一度チャンスを与えて、デンジとアサが自分たちのために作りたかった世界を作ってやったんだよ。本当に、ただそれだけの話さ

  I'd say the point of P2 was that Denji was never going to find happiness as Chainsawman It's less that everything about the series was negated and more that Denji tried to live his life, but again, if the option to be Chainsawman was always on the table, he was never going to find peace. ( Let it be through his own choices, or because outside factors were never going to let him live in peace ) And so, Pochita effectively gave him another chance and created the world that Denji and Asa wanted to create for themselves. Simple as that really.

  俺はこれ、虚しい結末だと感じるんだ。だってデンジはあの人たちのことを何も知らないから、彼らがそばにいてくれることを喜ぶことも、ありがたく思うこともできない。ここで言う“知る”ってのは、その人のことを少しずつ知っていく過程のことだ。あの人たちと過ごした楽しい時間も、苦しみさえも、もう存在しない。だからデンジにとって彼らはただの他人、上司、職場の同僚、そして通りすがりの女の子でしかないんだよ。 つまりデンジはまた惨めな人生を歩む運命なんだけど、それでも幸せになれるチャンスだけは手に入れた、あとはそれを台無しにしないだけでいい。悲しいことに、彼にそれができるかどうかは、もう物語が終わっちまったから分からない。 よく考えると悲しいよ。デンジは欲しかったものを全部手に入れたのに、それに気づいてすらいないんだから

  I feel its a hollow ending because Denji doesnt know all thoses people, he cant be happy for having them or appreciate that they are there because he doesnt know them, and i mean know by learning about them. All the good times and even suffering that he expended with thoses people doesnt exist anymore, soo to him thoses are just people, his boss, his collegue from work and a random girl. Soo Denji is just doomed to be miserable again but at least he got a chance to be happy, all he needs to do is not screw it up. Sadly we wont know if he is capable of it since it ended. Its sad if think about it. Denji got all the things he ever want it but doesnt realize it.

  この結末、要はジョジョ6部(ストーンオーシャン)なんだけど、ポチタがそのパートの“良いところ”を全部喰っちまった版だわ。なんでナユタは戻ってきてるのに、デンジもパワーもアサも“チェンソー”が何かをまだ覚えてるんだよ。とはいえ、アサとデンジがばったりぶつかるあのコマは好きだ。あれは本当にご褒美に値する。 いや〜、藤本はゲゲ（芥見下々）みたいに自分の作品をやらかしたりしないと思ってたんだけどな、あぁ…（ため息）。それでも、毎週、時には隔週で待ち続けたこの何年間も、藤本が俺の頭をかき回してくる新しい手口を見るためだけに費やしたこの時間も、俺は一生忘れない。ありがとう藤本、本当に良い旅だった。ちゃんと必要なだけ休んでほしい、そして次回作がどんなものであれ、また俺たちを驚かせてくれ

  The ending is basically just Jojo part 6, but have Pochita eat all the good things about that part. Why is Nayuta back and why do Denji, Power and Asa still remember what a chainsaw even is. That being said however, I do like that panel of Asa and Denji bumping into each other. Feels very well deserved. Man, I really thought Fujimoto wasn't gonna fumble his work like Gege did, but alas... *sigh* regardless, I'll never forget all these years spent on waiting every week, every two weeks, even, just to see other unique ways for Fujimoto to screw with my head. Thank you, Fujimoto, it's been quite the journey. I hope you get the rest you need, and surprise us with your next project, whatever that may be.

  It’s heartbreaking, but no one will want his chainsaw heart now. Because he only has his own. In the end Denji isn’t Chainsaw Man, he can’t be forced or force himself to live up to that name because such a figure doesn’t exist anymore. He’s Denji… just Denji. But at a cost, the cost of his dearest friend and other half. Im sure we all had fun watching Denji, just like Pochita.
