I was bracing for Rin to get seriously torn apart by Ego, but it ended in a pretty gentle telling-off. Also him actually acting his age for once is adorable.

Rin's insult vocabulary is on an elementary-schooler level and it's adorable. Also, Isagi has always thrown himself into communicating and trying to understand people no matter the situation — I love that about him. That's exactly why so many characters end up fixated on him and fond of him.

Rin always looks like he's got his spikes out, but he quietly holds real conversations with everyone. When Nanase begged to be his apprentice, he actually watched the kid's training, noticed he was ambidextrous and taught him about it. Both now and back then he'd chat away about all kinds of stuff while doing yoga. He just has a monstrous fixation problem — otherwise he's a pretty ordinary high-school boy who happens to be bad at talking.

Back when he'd just met Rin, Isagi was terrified of him — and now they're not just equals, somehow Isagi looks like the bigger man. Got me a little emotional.

Walking up to a benched, absolutely furious Rin, getting shut down at first, and still steering it to a place where they can actually talk it out — Isagi is just too good at putting problems into words.
