Who Is "Overseas," Exactly? Jaadugar Through Iranian and Mongolian Eyes, and Yasmine Through Filipino Ones
Somewhere in the middle of summer, the searches that bring Japanese readers to this site changed shape. They stopped asking for the overseas reaction to Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia and started asking for the Muslim reaction, the Mongolian reaction, the Iranian reaction. For Yasmine in Street Fighter 6 it was the Filipino reaction, and before that, plainly, what nationality is she. In other words: when a Japanese fan reads the word overseas, which country do they mean. That word is you. I translate your comments every night, and I think I owe the question an honest answer. So here it is up front. YouTube comments carry no flag. The only country I ever know is the one you tell me. And this summer, you told me constantly.
