Studio Bind, the anime studio behind Mushoku Tensei Season 3, turned down a scene pitched by the original novelist himself — reportedly because inserting it would have broken continuity with something the story had already explained. Across 235 comments on a Japanese reaction-compilation video, the most-liked reaction (1,403 likes) points out that Studio Bind was literally co-founded by two production companies specifically to adapt Mushoku Tensei long-term — so a staff that won't even bend the story's own rules for the author gets read less as a scandal and more as proof of how seriously they take it. From there, commenters worked out why the pitch (widely assumed to involve Roxy, the author's own favorite character) got vetoed, and swapped cautionary tales about adaptations that didn't hold that same line. By the end, one comment had flipped the whole premise on its head — arguing the anime might understand Mushoku Tensei's own canon better than its author does.
