Macross Delta vs Frontier: Why Delta Got Overshadowed by Frontier's Scale

On Macross Delta, Japanese fans dug into why it ended up overshadowed by Macross Frontier, and mostly landed on scale and structure. The thread rolled through Frontier's love triangle meshing perfectly with its songs, real shock that Frontier aired 18 years ago, and the take that Delta's stakes — one local planet's race against a single corporation — just couldn't match Frontier's galaxy-eating Vajra and Protodeviln. Die-hard Sheryl bias never quite died either. It's fond, nostalgic, franchise-insider energy that keeps circling back to one running gag: if Macross 7's Basara showed up, every war would be over in five minutes.
