ポケモン30周年の記念配信『Pokémon Presents』（2026年2月27日）で、シリーズ完全新作にして第10世代となる『ポケットモンスターウインド・ウェーブ』（2027年発売予定）が発表され、公式トレーラーのコメント欄はお祝いムードで埋め尽くされた。まず沸いたのは、水没マップと本格的な海中探索の復活。『ポケモン版サブノーティカだ』と深海ポケモンの妄想が広がり、動く風車ひとつを最初に見せてきた演出に『これがSwitch2の全力か』と作画の進化を噛みしめる声（半分はイジり）も。御三家＝草鳥のBrowt・炎犬のPombon・水トカゲのGecquaのデザイン談義、『南国×草鳥スターターは3回目では？』という既視感ツッコミ、さらに雲に浮かぶ影から伝説ポケモンを読み解く考察班まで出動した。5年ぶりの新世代という事実には『今度こそ焦らず作ってくれ』と祈る声が相次ぐ。荒れがちなポケモン新作の反応欄には珍しく、最後は温度の高い一言で優しく締まる。

あのレビューは正論だぞ。ちゃんと読めば、ルビー・サファイアはバランスが壊れてて、プレイ2時間目に戦うレベル11のメノクラゲと、30時間目でもまだ戦わされるって話だったんだ
He was based. If you actually read rhe review it was about how Ruby and Saphires balancing was borked so that you're fighting the same level 11 tentacool at hour 30 that you are at hour 2.

深海生物モチーフのポケモンとかどうよ？イエティガニとか、バレルフィッシュとか、なんならコウモリダコ(バンパイアスクイッド)とか、着想の宝庫だぞ
Maybe deep-sea inspired pokemon? Eg. Yeti Crabs, Barrel Fish heck even a Vampire Squid it's great inspiration

あれはギャラドスのシルエットだろ……伝説じゃないコイキングとギャラドスのリージョンフォームで、みず・でんきかみず・フェアリーってのもありえる
it's a Gyarados shape... not a legendary maybe a regional variant of magicarp and gyarados being water electric or water fairy

進化するごとにどんどん凶悪になっていくのに、顔だけはずっと同じ……しかも体だけデカくなって顔のサイズは据え置き、みたいなのが見たい
I want the dog to look increasingly menacing but keep the exact same face as it evolves, not even scaling up with the rest of the body.

豆知識：第10世代は歴代で一番待たされる世代（5年ぶり）で、“3年ごとに新世代”という流れがついに途切れた
Fun fact: Generation 10 is the first generation with the longest wait (five years) for its release, breaking the streak of a new generation coming out every three years
