• I'm 100% seeing this. I waited since high school for the original PC release, and my whole life changed in the years since waiting for an anime adaptation — every bit of that is riding on this.

A close second (201 likes) goes further, warning that if the show stays faithful to the real history of Fatima Khatun, it "can only end badly."   Does the West Really Talk About the Animation? I Counted All 11,705 Comments I Have Translated

  Back in late July I wrote that Japanese and English comment sections have different personalities. That piece was built entirely on feel, from reading both every night, and it did not contain a single number. Today I am checking my own work. As of August 23rd my archive holds 11,705 comments I have translated by hand, 7,379 of them from English-speaking comment sections and 4,326 from Japanese ones, spread across 525 articles. I ran a lexicon over every one of them and sorted them by what they were talking about. The short version: I was about half right, and the part I was most confident about turned out to be wrong.
