Honestly? it makes sense. To roxy, rudeus is the brawn. to eris, rudeus is the brain. so without rudeus, he specifically assigns them to be the brain and brawn for eachother, and they still work, because that's the dynamic they've learned to work best at.

They all love every child in the house and share parenting duty evenly. Eris covers the discipline, Sylphie the education and Roxy in the lover mama who fills in for a granny. Then you got the two Grandmothers who are always loving to the kids. Aunt's who spoil them. That house is all about the kids.

“原作小説の既読者です。これは全部22巻の内容で、挿話が2本入っている。 1本目はエリスが料理に挑戦しようとして、ロキシーが代わりにやることになった話（挿絵はこの挿話のためのファンカラー化イラスト）。そのときエリスがロキシーに悪魔語を教えてほしいと頼む。実はエリスは、1期の頃にルーデウスから習い始めた悪魔語をアニメには出てこないレベルで覚えていた。この挿話で描かれる2人の会話は料理の範囲にとどまる（ロキシーは単独行動の経験から料理ができ、エリスはギース先生に断られる前は彼に教わる予定だった）が、悪魔語の話が出た後にこう続く。 「ロキシーは悪魔語でエリスと何気ない世間話を続けた。子供たちのこと、学校のこと。悪魔語だと、普段なかなか切り出せない話題も率直に話しやすいと気づいた。会話が終わる頃には、ロキシーはエリスとの距離が少し縮まったように感じていた」 2本目は、ロキシーとルーディがミグルド村のロカリとロウィンを訪ねる話。2人は初めての子供（3期クール1の時点でロキシーが第一子を妊娠していることはすでに明かされているので書いても問題ないはず）を連れて、ロキシーの両親に孫を見せに行く。この挿話にはアニメ勢も知っている、あるキャラクターの事情に関わるちょっとしたネタバレ的な描写もある（挿話より前に一部判明済みではあるが）。この訪問にエリスは同行していない。孫を祖父母に紹介する旅行に、他の妻たちまで連れて行くわけがないからね。 それ以外では、2人が他愛ない話をする描写はあまり多くなく、ミグルド村自体についての言及もこの訪問以外にはほぼ無い。アトフェに会いに行く道中で少し軽口を叩き合う場面はある。 ここまで2人がこの件について話さなかったのも理解できる。エリスが村にいたのはもう12年ほど前のことで、当時は悪魔語も理解していなかった。ロカリとロウィンもルーデウスのことを覚えていなかった（最初に会った時は子供だったから）し、ロキシーも迷宮で彼だと気づかなかった。エリスは村での出来事にほとんど関わっていなかったし、時間も経ちすぎていて、仮に関わっていたとしてもあまり覚えていないと思う。 この投稿のために久々に原作を読み返した。本編を読んだのはもう4年くらい前なので”

LN reader here, this is all content from volume 22, which has 2 interlude chapters in it. The first one started with Eris trying to cook something so Roxy took over (the first art is the fan colored insert art for that interlude) and that was when Eris asked for help with the demon language. She actually remembered more than she thought she did from when Rudeus had started teaching her back in season 1 (not really mentioned in the anime). The extent of their conversations in the interlude shown only goes as far as cooking (Roxy is okay at it because solo adventuring, Eris was going to learn from Geese had he not said no), but after the demon god tongue came up there is this: "Roxy went on chatting about everyday thing with Eris in the demon language. She talked about the children, and about school, and found that in the demon language, it was easier to talk frankly about topics she usually couldn't broach. When the conversation was over, Roxy felt like she and Eris had grown a little bit closer." The second one is when Roxy and Rudy visit Rokari and Rowin in the Migurd Village. They brought their first child with them (I have no qualms saying this because season 3 cour 1 already established that Roxy is pregnant with her first child) for Roxy's parents to see their grandchild and then there actually is a revelation in this interlude that is related to a minor spoiler for the circumstances of one of the characters anime only viewers know, although it has already been known a bit before the interlude. There is no Eris on this visit. You wouldn't take the other wives on a trip to introduce grandparents to their grandchild. Outside of that, there is not much about the two of them talking about simple things and nothing about the Migurd Village itself beyond that visit. They have some moments of playful banter while going to see Atofe. It's understandable to me that they never talked about it because by this point, it would have been like... 12 or so years since Eris was in the village and she understood no demon language back then. Rokari and Rowin didn't recognize Rudeus, because he was a child the first time. Roxy didn't recognize him in the labyrinth, either. Eris was not very involved in what happened in the village and it had been so long that I doubt she would remember much if she was. I did go back to look through the source material because it's been about 4 years since I read the main story.
