Nah, this might sound weird, but one of the things I love about mushoku tensei is that they don’t give a fuck, they show us characters pissing themselves when they get their ass kicked, it sorta makes the show feel dirtier in a violent way that really works well. It’s hard to say but those dirtier more iffy details are what makes it unique and feel real
Isolde hair should have been green. Then all three would have had the Pokémon advantage triangle.
Edit@ I honestly forgot about the stigma about green hair in the series.

I love how much the Turning Points have people worried at the prospect of another one coming along to throw a wrench into everything, it's great.
21:56 the first time Roxy taught Rudy her saint class water spell, she accidentally struck Caravagio, the horse Paul rode to visit Rudy in the village.
Nanahoshi's crash out reminds me of Subaru, how they both regret leaving their parents in the way they did, the pain they feel in this world, and how they want to go back home, just sad man...
First more Frieren yesterday, and then Black Clover and Mushoku Tensei today. I don't think my brain can keep up with all these trailers coming so quickly

THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST SEASON OF MUSHOKU IF THE STUDIO DECIDED TO GO ALL OUT
This show saved my life, I'll forever be greatful for it. Lockdown left me at the darkest point in my life, but Rudy getting up in that final episode of S1 pushed me to get back up too. 5 years later, my life has never been better. I'll watch this to the very end, even just out of respect.

The slowed pace this episode gives me high hopes for the rest of the season... a 5 Volume season 3 would be amazing. Great stopping point with volume 17, and better pacing for arguably the best part of the series. I really hope I'm right on this.
Sylphie was the understated powerhouse this episode.
She covered Rudys ass in his moment of hesitation to the mangod question
The look on her face when she turned her head after Perugeus threatened her man showed she was ready to fight 30 ppl above her level for him.
And her question was the least selfish seeking an answer everybody wanted.
Her development is the best. A quiet and perceptive force of nature.
Perugius doesn't have the same mana pool, let alone come anywhere near Rudeus's mana reserve. If he had resisted even in the slightest, the teleport would have failed. Rudy allowed himself to be summoned of his own free will (albeit without knowing), it would be like the Kraken allowing a trawlers fish net to guide it to the surface.
One thing you got wrong, Rudeues has about the same or greater mana than perugeus, as he stated in the anime and the novel. If rudy tried to refuse the teleportation with his power he would have been able to stop it most likely. He has smiliar mana to laplace as perugues and kirisha stated before. And Laplace had greater Mana capacity than peregues. Although not by alot and dragonfolk do have special spells.

Reminder that The Old Dragon's Tale WILL spoil the story for several arcs. It is a prequel story that fills in some of the gaps left after reading the full LN. On top of it being depressing as hell, you will regret reading it and having major plot points spoiled so do not unless you are okay with that.
Maybe it's just me, but despite liking the adaptation, I felt they failed to convey the threat I was felling while reading, most people didn't realize how dangerous my boy Moore was.
Yeah, they really failed there. The fight felt less like "Moore is a threat" and more like "Rudeus is doped up", which was disappointing. They made it "feel" dangerous by making rudeus slow and ineffective instead of showing it the other way.
This fight i think is the closest i've ever seen to a D&D party fighting, the other time was vs the hydra. But this one has the tank grappling the main dps, the support being focused, the mages fighting each other with reactions counterspells and overall being really impactful, also the "alternate win condition" where the goal is to get Cliff to the circle is a common thing for unwinnable fights in D&D. Felt like they were cooperating like an actualy party despite not having been in that formation before, really shows how Zanoba can bridge the experience gap with loyalty and strength, Rudeus repertoire of tricks and spells and everyone's coordination for a single goal. Very realistic dynamics, such a good scene.
In the LN, old Rudeus looks like a man who has been to hell and back
In the anime, old Rudeus looks like a man with dementia who forgot how he got there
I knew the man god was full of it when he said Paul wouldve lived. We saw Paul's reaction to seeing Zenith the 1st time. Rudy literally saved his life making him wait. Paul wouldve crashed out and died on the first interaction.
Call me crazy, but this feels like the best turning point yet, at least for me personally. The entire episode was just them talking in a room, but the direction and voice acting were so impressive, and the conversation was so significant, that the whole 24-minute episode felt like it flew by in 5 minutes.
The Longest Con. Here's every advice Hitogami gives Rudy and how it relates to Roxy:
1. Rely on Ruijierd. Roxy is deathly afraid of the Superd.
2. The pet thing in Rikarisu. This got him in conflict with Nokopara, who is a friend of Roxy.
3. Feed Kishirika. This causes him to barely miss her.
4. Enroll in Ranoa. This keeps him away from Roxy, who is with the Zenith rescue party.
5. Do not respond to the request for assistance. Roxy would've died when she was lost in the Labyrinth. Rudy ended up going anyway.
6. Go to the basement. This kills the Roxy.
EDIT: I forgot the one where he saved Aisha. Not too sure about this one, but Pax kept Aisha and Lilia imprisoned specifically to lure out Roxy. IDK
The way Aisha stayed by Rudeus's side till the end when he was breaking down shows how much she loves her brother 😢. It was very heartbreaking to see her die too 💔
