As a Filipina it was very amusing to see Max attempt to pronounce some Tagalog before giving up completely

カランビットのポイントは「見えにくい」ってところなんだ。だから相手は不意を突かれて、気づいたら全身斬られてる。手品みたいな手さばきこそ、あのナイフを使いこなす肝なんだよ。
the thing with the karambit is that it’s supposed to be hard to see. that’s how they catch you unawares and suddenly you’re cut up all over. sleight of hard is a big part of using that knife.

アニメーターの作り込みがヤバい。攻撃したり動いたりしてる間、カランビットがほとんど見えないんだ。実際のエスクリマ（フィリピン武術）でのカランビットやナイフはまさにこう。戦いの中でほぼ隠れてて、相手は斬られたことにすら気づかない。
Crazy details the animators did on how the karambit was barely noticeable when she attacks or in motion. That's how a karambit or knife would be like in real life eskrima, it would almost be concealed in a fight, that the opponent would not know they were already cut.

カランビットは彼女の「鉤爪（talon/claw）」みたいな役割もしてるんだよな。そういう意味もある。

戦闘中に彼女が「Like an Eagle（鷲のように）」って言うのは、キャラがフィリピンワシをモチーフにしてるから。髪型は威嚇したときのフィリピンワシの冠羽と同じ形にセットされてるし、カランビットはワシの鉤爪を思わせる。
When she fights she says "Like an Eagle", its because her character is based on the Philippine Eagle. Her hair is styled the same as a Philippine Eagle's crest when it is threatened and her karambit resembles its talons.

マジであれ、SF5時代のナッシュ（Charlie）のクリティカルアーツを流用してるぞ。彼の「ジャッジメントサーベル」がまさにあの風を切る丸ノコみたいなやつ。ただ彼のはもっとデカくて相手の頭に叩き下ろすけど、彼女はそれを引きずるように斬る…まあどっちにしろクソかっこいいけどな。
Deadass they used Charlie's Critical Art from back in SF5 for that, his Judgement Sabre uses that buzz saw cutting wind thing only his is much bigger and he just slams it down on their head...she drags it through...still cool as hell though.

I’m surprised Max wasn’t more excited about them putting Cap’s Shield Throw and X’s Boomerang Cutter into a street fighter.

Here's a translation for eveyone: "Bayani" Mode means "Hero Mode" that represents the Filipino heroes. "Daloy ng Tubig" means "Flow of Water" represents the Philippines which consists of water. "Alon" means "Wave" "Ulan" means "Rain" "Nakatagong Lakas" means "Hidden Power" "Linya ng Liwanag" means "Ray of Light". Best representation of the Sun in the Philippine Flag "Pamumukadkad ng Sampaguita" means "The blooming of Sampaguita (Philippine National Flower)" I love how Capcom named her moves in Tagalog words which adds a very Filipino Theme. @mortified0 Luke was so underwhelming in sf 6 story wise. He had the energy of a cool uncle instead of main protagonist who kicks your ass vibe.

だよな…なんか彼女、キンバリーみたいなタイプな気がする。スピードはあるけど打たれ弱くて、一度コンボに捕まったら抜け出せないやつ。
Yeah...I get the feeling she's gonna be a lot like Kimberly in that she's a speedy fighter but she can't take damage for crud once she gets locked into a combo she can't escape from.

Instead of 28-hit combo counter it will say "28 stab wounds."

彼女、鉄拳のジョシー、Riot GamesのNeon／Zeri、ソウルキャリバーのタリム…この中でも彼女がたぶん一番よくできてる。ゲームでこういう（フィリピンの）レペゼンが来ることってあんまり無いし、正直普段はそんなに気にしないんだけど、ヤスミンはマジでクソかっこいい（しかも可愛い）。
Between her, Josie from Tekken, Neon/Zeri from Riot Games, Talim from Soul Calbur.... she is probably the best I've seen. It's not very often we get videogame rep and I really don't care most of the time, but Yasmine is really fucking cool (and cute).
