  Why is the narrator a comedian……and one from Fukuda's regular troupe, so it's obviously a connections hire. And honestly, he crammed in way too many of his own past works — apparently they don't even interact with Keroro, so he just wanted them on screen. It's a totally different quality and direction from actual Keroro parody. It scares me, but as someone who watched this as a kid and even as an adult kept rewatching the show on the official account, I HAVE to give the old Keroro cast a final listen… It feels like they're being held hostage.

  So they forced a series that was sleeping quietly in its grave back up, and then got satisfied just from digging it up and went back to playing with their usual toys. The fact that this made it through the planning meeting is insane.

  There are a few takes going around like "the Keroro parts are fun and the Fukuda-troupe stuff is only about ten minutes total, so I don't get why people care so much" — but why on earth should the audience have to watch while mentally writing off roughly 10% of the runtime?

  「ケロロ部分は面白いし福田組部分のボリュームは合計10分程度しかないからそこまで気にするのが分からない」みたいな感想もちらほらあるんだけど、何で見る側が上映時間の約10％を切り捨てる事を意識して見なあかんねん。

  The moment a phrase like "the Keroro parts" even comes up about a Keroro movie, it's already out of the question. I paid money to come see Keroro — why am I being made to sit through the non-Keroro parts? That's all I can say.

  Keroro was always a parody-heavy series, sure, but don't lump parody together with inside-joke circle-jerking. He doesn't get that the Gundam and Evangelion parodies in Keroro worked precisely because there was real respect behind them.

  ケロロは元々パロディの多い作品ではあったけどパロディと内輪ノリを一緒にすんなよ。 そもそもケロロに出てくるガンダムやエヴァとかのパロディはちゃんとリスペクトがあったから許されていたってのを理解していない。

  Honestly both Yoshihiko and Gintama are way past their prime by now, so this really was just the director doing whatever he wanted.

  It really is nothing but the director's self-satisfaction. Gintama joked hard about Demon Slayer too, but that worked because there was the topical angle of riding a massive hit and the self-deprecating angle of a senior series openly sucking up to a junior one — none of that is here.

  本当に監督の自己満でしかないのよね 銀魂も鬼滅を思いっきりネタにしてたけど、同じジャンプ作品ってだけじゃなくてと大ヒット作に乗っかったという時事ネタ要素と後輩作品なのに思いっきりすり寄るという自虐要素などがあったから面白かったのに

  People say it's not all on the director, but honestly the warning signs were already there with the live-action Gintama (the casting and character relationships that weren't in the manga, made just because his wife said so).

  監督だけのせいじゃないって言われるが、正直実写銀魂のときから片鱗は十分あったと思う(奥さんの言った通りにした原作にないキャラの関係性や配役など)

  Gintama fans who stayed quiet back then, thinking "well, if some people are enjoying it…," are now using this moment to pour out all their pent-up frustration with the live-action Gintama and with Fukuda.

  The most to blame is the production side for hiring someone like Fukuda to direct in the first place. The most he's cut out for is TV directing. The fact that a guy who isn't up to the job still gets offered films — the low ambition of the Japanese film industry is just depressing.

  1番悪いのは福田なんかを監督に起用した制作側だと思う 福田なんかせいぜいテレビ監督が関の山。その器に無い様な人物に未だに映画監督のオファーがあるんだから、とにかく邦画制作側の志の低さに泣けるよ

  There's flaming and then there's flaming — if there were at least some dumb or funny bits it'd be one thing, but this is the kind where no matter which part you cut out it isn't funny (it's not entertaining, and the problems are no laughing matter)…

  I figured a smash hit like a certain detective anime movie was obviously off the table, so I lowered the bar and went in expecting maybe a B-movie at best — and somehow it came in even below that…

  I was hoping for something like episode 100 of the Keroro anime — Giroro's brother's squad pushing the Keroro Platoon and Pekopon into a corner, and then Fuyuki and Keroro, Natsumi and Giroro pulling through on friendship for a moving finish… If it's like this, maybe I'm better off not going.

  アニメのケロロ１００話目のように、ギロロの兄チームがケロロチームとペコポンを窮地に陥れて、 冬樹とケロロ・夏美とギロロ…と友情でピンチを乗り切り感動するような内容を期待していたんだけど… これなら観に行かない方がいいかな。

  Even I got sick to my stomach over this, and I drifted away from Keroro ages ago — so for fans who've followed it the whole time this must be like torture……

  I just wish they'd treat the work with more care. They picked the wrong collab partner and the production side took the bit way too far. It could've been the perfect fresh start — older fans getting to feel nostalgic while having fun, and a younger generation getting to discover Keroro.

  もっと作品を大切に扱って欲しいよね。コラボ相手間違えてるし、制作側は悪ノリが過ぎる。楽しみつつも大人世代は懐かしんで、子供世代はケロロについて知れる最高のスタートダッシュ切れたはずなのに。

  Honestly I think even a stream is doubtful. They pushed ahead with it even after the Attack on Titan side flat-out said no.
