You repeat over and over that you like this anime basically because it's goddamn adorable.... Exactly. I stumbled on this as a dude turning 40 just needing something new to watch when I run on the treadmill. There was definitely that voice that went, "Pretty weird being a 40yr old dude watching a high school anime." Immediately followed by, "Don't care, this is goddamn adorable." My wife acts loud and weird, and I'm very reserved and often don't know what to do with my words. This one is just good because it has something relatable to folks that draws them in and smile.

7:55 10代の俺らからすると、「好き（like）」じゃなく「愛してる（love）」って言うのはごく普通のこと。なぜか分からないけど、最近の付き合いたてのカップルから「like」ってほとんど聞かない、いつも即「love」なんだ

鈴木と谷が、テンプレのラブコメ主人公じゃなくて、それぞれ独自の個性でよりリアルになってるのが本当に好き。谷はテンプレの陰キャ／“負け組”じゃなくて、ただ自分から社交しにいかないだけの人間で、そのぶん“実在感”があって楽しめる。人は静かに生きてるだけで、それが負け組って意味じゃない。そこがまさに鈴木が彼に惚れた理由でもある。鈴木も“学校で一番人気の女子”ってだけじゃなく、ただ活発で人付き合いが好きな子。まさに正反対だろ。細部のこういうリアルさがこの作品をずっと好きにさせる。あと、高校が舞台なのにファンサービス（お色気）が一切ないのも、わざわざ言及されるのが逆にすごい *ゴホン* *ゴホン* その着せ替え人形は恋をする *ゴホン*（俺は筋金入りの着せ恋アンチなので隙あらば叩く）
I really like how Suzuki and Tani arent fully the stereotypical romcom mcs but have distinct qualities that make em more realistic, Tani isnt that much of a steretypical nerd/"loser" but just someone who doesnt go out of his way to socialise, makes it more enjoyable as he seems more "real", like some people just keep to themselves but that dont mean they're losers and it IS the main reason Suzuki fell in love with him, which i find so much more entertaining, and Suzuki isnt just the most popular girl in the school, just a girl whos very out there and likes to socialise alot, (you could say theyre polar opposites), she has her main friend group and is just friendly with everyone. Small details like these tham make these characters more unique and realistic make me enjoy this anime soo much more. Also yknow the show doesnt have any fanservice which is crazy thats even a thing to note about an anime that takes place in highschool *cough* *cough* my dress up darling *cough* *cough* (sorry im a d1 mdud hater i have to hate on that anime whenever i can) Also great video, honestly loved your personality and all, hope you're able to keep up and upload more ill be looking forward to your s2 review!

正反対の作者は、この春に始まって10月に2期が来る『氷の城壁』も描いてる。あっちも良作だけど、もっとドラマ寄りで、登場人物が各々の頭の中でぐるぐる考え込むタイプ
Polar Opposites’ author also did Ramparts of Ice which came out this spring and has its second season in October. It’s another good series, but more of a drama, a lot more characters in their own heads overthinking stuff.

暇でジャンルを変えたくて見た初めての恋愛アニメだった。そしたらハマって、毎週月曜の最新話を待ちわびるようになった。シーズンが終わったときには原作がまだ続いてるか検索して、続いてると分かって2期を叫んで求めた（吹き替えが始まるのをまだ待ってるけど）
My first romance anime only because I was bored and wanted a new genre. Then it hooked me and I was waiting every Monday for my weekly episode. When the season ended I was searching if the manga was still going on and when it was, I was screaming for season 2.(which I’m still waiting for the dub to start watching)
