  • 3:20 イラン人として言うと、俺たちマジで絨毯が好きで、ほぼどの家にもある。文化みたいなもんだね。ただ最近は値段がすごく高くて、新しい世代の一部は西洋風を好むようになってきた。

    3:20 as an Iranian we do love carpets and you will find them in almost every house. it's like a culture thing but lately the prices are really high and a part of the new generation prefers the western style

  • 両親が絨毯を注文しに行った店についてった記憶がある。中は絨毯専用の巨大な図書館みたいで、棚という棚に2階建てくらいの高さの巻いた絨毯がびっしり詰まってた。

    I remember going to a place where our parents went to commision a custom carpet and the shop inside looks like a massive library but for carpets, all the shelves are filled with massive uncut carpets and are about 2 stories tall from what I remember back in the day.

  • この作品が奴隷制を美化してるって言う人が多いけど、そうじゃない。あの時代ではこれが全部「普通」だったってだけだ。

    A lot of people have been saying that this has been putting slavery in a positive light when it's not. All of this was just normal in that time period

    I think it’s rather foolish to compare the perspectives of the past with the modern era; we don’t even need to look a hundred years into the future—what we consider normal today might well be viewed as immoral by people in the future.

  • テングリは単に「天」を意味するだけで、神みたいなものじゃないよ。モンゴル人は天を崇めるけど、それは神というより、スターウォーズの「フォース」に近い。

    Tengri just means sky, it is not some kind of god. Mongols worship the sky, but it is not like a god, more like the Force in star wars.

    The also didn't restrict religion, everyone was free to follow whichever religion they had faith in. All Genghis Kahn asked was to be included in their prayers (not sure if this is true, but I believe he allowed them their faith to prevent civil unrest).

  • 最初から最後まで完全に引き込まれた、素晴らしかった。第2話のラストで息が止まって、涙が止まらなかった。

    So far, one of my top 3 anime of the year along with Golden Kamuy and Ramparts of Ice.
