『ワンパンマン』第3期の公式トレーラー（英語字幕版）がIGNで公開され、10月の放送開始・怪人協会編アニメ化を待ちわびた海外ファンのコメント欄が一気に沸いた。ただし空気は手放しの歓喜ではない。『2期が出たときは子供だったのに、今や自分に子供ができそうな年齢』と長すぎた待ち時間をネタにする声、『同じPVの再アップ、これで10回目』『7週連続で見せられてる』と使い回しの予告にツッコむ声、そして最大の火種が作画への不安。制作がJ.C.STAFF続投と分かるや『一部カットがブルーロックのパワポ資料みたい』『スライドショーだけは勘弁』『“ワンフレームマン”になりそう』と懸念が噴出し、マッドハウス降板を惜しむ声まで飛んだ。一方で『悪いのはアニメーターじゃない、時間と予算の中で全力を尽くしてるんだ』『2期みたいに叩いたら4期はまた10年後だぞ』と諫める声、キングの妙な歩き方で和む一幕も。期待と不安が同居したまま、最後はこの10年に付き合ったファンの本音がぽろりとこぼれて締まる。

2期が出たとき俺は高3だった。今じゃ26歳、9時5時の仕事に自分の家、自分の車まで持ってる。3期が本当に来る頃には50歳になってる自信あるわ
I was a senior in high school when season two came out now I’m 26 with a 9-5, my own place and own car. I’m sure I’ll be 50 by the time season 3 comes out.

2期を作ったのと同じスタジオが3期も担当してるからだよ。だから2期と同じでショボい見た目になる。マッドハウスがこの作品を手放したの、個人的には痛恨のやらかしだと思う
@vvkthkz because the same studio that did season 2 are the same ones doing season 3. So it's going to look like shit. Just like season 2. Madhouse dropping this show was a serious fumble imo.

普段は作画なんて気にしないタチなんだけど、原作漫画の出来が良すぎたせいで、作画がダメだったらこのシーズンは観られない気がする
Normally I don't care about the animation, but the manga was so well made, that I think I'll not be able to watch this season if the animation is bad

Just be greatful we get an animated season 3. If fans complain like they did with season 2 then we probably have to wait another 10 years for season 4
