    I love how Tanya is considered d a monster and all that, but she's the one that wants for the war to end as quickly as possible. 9:17 - No side is entirely good in a war, but the Empire is relatively the better one. The Entente started the war, the Republic tried to attack the Empire from the rear and used civilians as humans shields, the Kingdom was secretly supporting the Entente and Republic and even hid evidence from the massacre at Arene, the Federation is the Soviet union with a pedophile as one of its leaders...

  • もはや“幼女戦記（Saga of Tanya the Evil）”じゃなくて“幼女実利記（Saga of Tanya the Pragmatic）”だろ。彼女（とゼートゥーア）は論理で考えてる。ヴァイスもその論理は理解できてる。でも前回と同じで、賭かってるのはナショナリズムだ。帝国は戦争に引きずり込まれた被害者なのに、その挙句に何も得られないんじゃ国民は納得しない

    It's less Saga of Tanya the Evil, more Saga of Tanya the Pragmatic. She (and Zettour) are thinking logically. Weiss can see the logic. But like the previous episode, nationalism is on the line. Germany is the victim here & getting nothing after being dragged into war will not feel right with the people.

  • 違う、周りは帝国を恐れて先に攻撃したんだ。単に領土が欲しかったわけじゃない。帝国は自分たちを最強だと思ってて、攻撃されてブチギレた。まあ領土拡大の意図もあったかもしれんが

    No, they feared the empire and attacked first, they didn't just want to steal land. They view themselves as supreme, and attacking them pissed them off, well maybe the intention was also getting more land

  • それを言うなら全部の国がそうだ。共和国は先に攻撃した、協商連合も先に攻撃した、ダキアは60万の兵で国境を越えた、連邦はあの列車砲で先に撃った、合州国は帝国の敵に物資を提供してる。帝国もいずれ攻めてたかもしれないが、事実として帝国から始めた戦争は一つもない。連合王国のことは覚えてないけど

    With all countries for that matter, The republic attacked first, the alliance attacked first, dakia crossed their borders with 600k men, the federation fired the first shot with that cannon train thing, the US is providing for their enemies. Maybe the Empire would've attacked anyway eventually, but matter of fact is, they didn't start a single war, they just responded. Don't remeber about the UK though

  • 12:04 良い指摘だけど肝心な点が抜けてる。帝国は戦争に負けつつあるんだ。相手側があれだけ譲歩してくれる停戦は最良のシナリオだった。あれを蹴った時点で、実質的に負け戦を続けると自分で決めたようなもんだ

    12:04 you have a good point, but you're missing a key detail, the empire is losing the war, stopping it with such compromises from the opposing party would be best case scenario, they've pratically commited to fighting a losing battle

Empire already has issues supplying the army with basics yet the Emperor just demanded an offensive! With what??? Tanya had to limit how many shells artillery can use. Emperor's delusional! Have we 0 history knowledge? Imagine if Nazi Germany was offered an opportunity to keep stolen land and war stops right as the tide's turning against them? Instead, Hitler orders troops (unprepared for winter) to march on Stalingrad. To those who don't know, it all ended horribly for the Germans despite initial successes. Pride and arrogance will be the downfall of the Empire. In Tanya's place, I'd flee to Argentina, lol.

  • まず自分は、あの世界の中の条約基準で判断する派。原作は読んでないけど、あの建物に宗教的標章が無かったのは額面通りに受け取っていいと思う。 あと気づいたんだけど、ターニャが中佐に昇進してから、以前と比べて政治や参謀レベルの駆け引きの描写が増えたよね。正直、先週から『バンド・オブ・ブラザーズ』でウィンターズが昇進してE中隊の指揮を離れたときの空気を感じてる。 戦争継続を望む連中が映ったときは背筋が凍った。1918年の終戦後にドイツで広まった“背後の一突き”のプロパガンダが頭をよぎって。 それと、イルドアの寝返り工作へのあの返答…マコーリフ将軍の“Nuts!”を思い出したわ

    Foe one, I'd judge them based on the conventions that they have in their universe. I've never read the source material but I'd take it at face value that the building they looked at didn't have any markings. Also, I've come to realise that since Tanya's promoted to leutnantoberst, we've been seeing more of the political and staff machinations as compared to before. Truth be told, since last week it had the vibes when Winters was promoted to staff level and had to pass on commanding Easy Coy to another. Chills ran down my spine when they showed those who wanted to continue fighting. The mind went to overdrive about the "stab in the back" propoganda that circulated in the Germany after the war ended in 1918. Also... their reply to not-Italy's turn coat attempt... Reminds me of McAulfie's "Nuts!"

  • ターニャは実利主義で、書かれた法には忠実に従う。国際法の大半は条約に法的根拠があるから、条約を結んでいない国が相手なら適用されない（相互の合意じゃないからな）。それに砲撃じゃなく戦車と歩兵で攻めさせてたら、より安全な選択肢があるのに部下を無駄に死なせるリスクを負うことになる。戦争はフェアじゃない。行動規範の条約があるのは資源を無駄にしないためだ（死んだ市民は税金も払えないし、占領後に働いてもくれない）

    tanya is pragmatic and does follow the law as written, most international laws have their legal weight in treaties so if theres no treaty with the country then the law doesnt apply to it as its not a mutual agreement of behaviour between parties. if she ordered tanks and infantry to attack instead of artillery that will put the risk of death on her subordinates effectively murdering them unnecessary when there was a safer choice for them. war isnt fair, treaties of conduct are in place so resources are wasted unnecessary(dead civs cant pay taxes or work when they take over)

    @statixfear tanya is pragmatic but also looks at details, when is a church a church, different people have different definitions. she uses the written definition aka does it have any specific religious markings. just slapping a bell on a building doesnt always make it a church

  • ゼートゥーアの役職“戦務参謀次長”は日本語特有の概念で直訳が難しいんだけど、“Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics”が一番分かりやすいかな。彼は補給部隊を含む帝国軍の兵站全体を統括してるから、帝国があとどれだけ戦えるかを正確に把握してる。 ターニャも前世で兵站を学んでいて、今世でも士官学校時代に戦時動員の論文を書いてる。2人とも戦争をそのレンズで見ていて、決定的勝利の前に限界が来ると見えてしまったからこそ、戦争を止めるべきだと結論づけた。 一方のルーデルドルフは作戦畑の人間だ。勝つことがずっと彼の仕事で、実際そうしてきた。国内世論も皇室も、払った犠牲に見合う結果を求めてる以上、彼はその仕事をやり遂げるしかない

  • 賠償金を払わせるべき、ってのは結構な話だけど、どうやって払わせるんだ？自国は負けつつあって、人は死んでいく。現実を受け入れて前に進むか、戦い続けて滅ぶかの二択だ。ターニャが完全に正しかった。戦争に名誉や公正の居場所はない。ましてや地球をまるごと敵に回して負けてる側ならなおさらだ

    Cool idea, they should pay reparations, but how are you gonna make they do it? Your country is losing the war, ppl are dying, its either accept reality and move or keep fighting and get destroyed, Tanya was completely right, honor and fairness have no place in war, worse when you're in the losing side getting your ass whooped by the whole combined planet
