オゴデイは史実でも並外れた気前の良さで知られた人物。このアニメの人物像もそういう歴史的エピソードが下敷きだと思う。良いのは、いくつかの文献によれば、オゴデイの過剰な気前の良さは単なる王の道楽じゃなく、帝国に対する冷徹なリアリズムに基づいていたという点。後の話でそこも描いてくれるといいな。あと声優が最高。シタラに「お前は誰だ？」と言うときの、優しげなのに厳しくて威圧的なあの感じ
Ogedei was historically well-known for his extraordinary generosity. His personality in this anime is also based on such historical episodes I guess. What I like is, based on some literature, Ogedei's excessive generosity was not a mere royal plaything but based on his cold-eyed realism towards the Empire. I hope this anime will also describe such points in later episodes. BTW I really love his VA especially when he said "Who are you?" to Shitara, seemingly gentle but stern and intimidating at the same time.

『天幕のジャードゥーガル』にここまで出てきたドレゲネ・ハトゥン、ファーティマ、オゴデイ・カアン、モゲ・ハトゥン、トルイ、チャガタイ、フレグ、クビライといった歴史上の人物のことはネットで調べられる。ドレゲネがなぜああいう感情を抱えているのかも分かるはずだ。ドレゲネは西モンゴル起源のナイマンの出身。ナイマンはモンゴル化したテュルク系だとする学者もいて、テュルク語由来とモンゴル語由来の語彙を両方使っていたとされる。最初の夫はメルキトの人間。メルキトはモンゴル高原の五大部族連合のひとつだ。史実のファーティマの最期は…… こういう史実の話はアニメのネタバレになりかねないから注意な。原作はトマトスープの女性向け漫画で連載中。作者は2025年10月からの産休を経て、2026年3月末に連載を再開している

You will learn why Töregene feels the way she does. Töregene came from the Naimans, who originated in Western Mongolia. Some scholars believe the Naimans were a Mongolized Turkic people; they have been described as Turkic-speaking and/or Mongolic-speaking, who used words and terms of Turkic origin and of Mongolian origin. Her first husband was a Merkit. Merkit was one of the five major tribal confederations of Mongol or Turkic origin in the Mongolian Plateau. The real-life Fatima ended up... These stories about the historical figures might end up spoiling some things in the anime, so be careful. The anime is based on the josei manga, A Witch's Life in Mongol, by mangaka Tomato Soup, which is still ongoing. Tomato Soup resumed her manga in late March 2026 after taking time off in October 2025 on maternity leave.
