One Piece's newest chapter puts Luffy — in his Nika form — through what should be a triumphant team-up finishing blow on a boss enemy, and one specific panel of his face has drawn backlash instead of hype. Across the 594 comments under the reaction-compilation clip that reposted the scene, the top comment (736 likes) just crowns Oda as too legendary a mangaka for anyone left to rein in. From there the thread splits between readers calling the exaggerated cartoon face flat-out ugly and unnecessary, others comparing it unfavorably to Tom and Jerry, and a smaller side-argument over whether the real problem is Oda's own talent or a missing editor willing to push back. The comments don't let up even at the end — see for yourself what closes out the thread.
