I just love Dragon Ball, you know? Not complicated foreshadowing or dense character drama — just guys screaming their lungs out, powering up all the way, and throwing down.
俺はやっぱドラゴンボールが好きなんだ。複雑な伏線とか、濃密なキャラストーリーとかじゃなくて、ただ雄叫び上げて気を全開にして熱く殴り合ってるドラゴンボールがよ。
Episode 1 of DAIMA got me hyped too, if I remember right.
I'm guessing the quality drops starting episode 2 — they probably just want to nail the hook. But the sound effects are back to the old ones, so I want to watch all of it anyway.

Honestly, Super is probably the one era of Dragon Ball you can remake without getting torn apart for it. Remake Z or GT and no matter how high the quality turns out, some segment of fans is going to trash it regardless.
でも多分ドラゴンボールでリメイクして一番叩かれないのは超だよ
ZとかGTリメイクするとどんだけクオリティ高くても絶対一定層叩くヤツが出てくる

Personally, one of the best things about Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is that the sound effects — the punch impacts, the Super Saiyan transformation sound — are back to the old Dragon Ball Z ones! Honestly, those sound effects are recognized worldwide as "the sound of Dragon Ball Z," so I bet there are a ton of overseas fans happy about this too!

I heard they're making the Galactic Patrol arc too, so I'm just assuming they're redoing all of Super to line up perfectly with Galactic Patrol airing right after.

Yeah, fair. Personally I'm fine with the animation getting better, but I want the story itself fixed too — the character derailment, Goku getting written dumber, and actual tension back in the Future Trunks arc's ending and fights. And we don't need Zeno.

個人的には作画が良くなるのはいいがストーリーを直して欲しいかな
あとキャラ崩壊と悟空の知能低下、未来編のラストと戦いに緊張感が欲しいし、全王はいらない
