残念ではあるけれど、ディアスがそれ以外の振る舞いをしたら、この物語の核心となる前提が無効になってしまう。
この物語全体は、ディアスが「自分は何も知らない」と自覚していて、周囲の見知らぬ文化のほとんどを進んで受け入れる一方で、亡くなった両親の教えを主な理由として、自分にも他人にも決して許さないことがある、という考えの上に成り立っている。ディアスの腕力、誠実さ、優しさは、彼という人物を定義する3本の柱であり、そのどれかひとつを失えば、この物語はこれほどうまく機能しなくなる。
It is a shame, but Dias doing otherwise would invalidate the key premise of the story.
The entire story revolves around the concept that while Dias knows that he doesn't know anything and willingly accepts many if not most aspects of the unfamiliar cultures around him, there are certain things that he will not tolerate from himself or others largely due to his deceased parents' teachings. Dias' physical strength, integrity, and kindness are the three pillars that define his character, and losing any one of them would lead to the story not working nearly as well.
ディアスの行動が、あちこちに優しさの種を蒔いてきたのが好きだ。傭兵たちが相手はディアスだと知った途端に降りるとは思っていなかった。主な理由は、彼が戦時に多くの傭兵を助けていて、感謝している者が多いからだ。あのひどい姫は、歯を蹴り飛ばされなかっただけ運が良かった。ディアスが明確に彼女を叩きのめすつもりでいたのも良い。クラウスはこれで、じきに犬の嫁さんと結婚するわけだ。
I like how Dias' actions have planted the seeds of kindness in many places. I wasn't expecting the mercs to nope out once they found out it was Dias, mainly because he had saved many mercs during the war and many are thankful. The shitty princess got lucky she didn't get her teeth kicked in. I like how Dias explicitly intended to beat her up. Klaus will soon marry his dog waifu now.

そして双方の集団は、互いの法を認めていない。
だから彼は、ある意味で結婚していると同時に結婚していない状態にある。彼が市民として属する王国は部族の法を認めないかもしれないが、彼自身はそれを認めているし、同時に王国の法も認めているからだ。
だから彼は結婚を待ちたがっている。
彼はいわば板挟みになっている。
They're married by the tribe's laws, but not by the kingdom's.
And both groups don't recognize the other's laws.
So, he's kind of both married and not married at the same time, because while the kingdom he's a citizen of might not recognize the tribe's laws, he does, but he also recognizes the kingdom's laws as well.
Which is why he wants to wait to get married.
He's kind of stuck in the middle.
金髪キャラのステレオタイプに近いけど、天然でもマッチョバカでもない。物事を一つずつ片付けていくタイプの、正直で誠実な男ってだけ。ただそのせいで、王様にそこを利用されてあの土地に放り込まれたように見えるんだよな
He almost fits a blonde stereotype though, he's not a ditz or a himbo, he's just the type to take things one at a time, an honest honorable type, but it makes it seem like his King took advantage of that just thrown him in that area.
この王女、ちょっと次元が違う……
彼はこの土地を開発するための人員と資金を与えられるはずだった。実際には何ももらっていない。なのに彼女は、助けられない／助けたくない彼に腹を立てている。国家的英雄への扱いじゃないだろ。ましてこの先も戦ってほしいなら尚更だ。事実上見捨てた国に力を貸す理由なんて彼には1ミリも無い。まずは信頼を取り戻す努力をして、消えた資金がどこに行ったのかを調べるべきなんだよ
This princess is something else...
He was supposed to be given people and capital to start developing this area. He was given none and she is angry he wont/cant provide any help to her. Thats not how you treat a national hero, especialy if you want him to fight for you in the future. He has zero reasons to help the kingdom that basicaly abandoned him. She should at least try to win back his trust and maybe check where did all of that capital go instead.

原作で覚えてるキャラで、アニメでこの変身をどう処理するのか楽しみにしてた。愛すべきおバカなんだよな
I remember him from the manga and was so excited to see how they handled his transformation in the anime lol, guy is a lovable goofball.

When the other Baas were announced, I assumed ramming and headbutting were coming, but we had a leadership song battle instead!
ディアスの表情芸は本当に最高だ。誰も驚かないことに、彼はカニスとクラウスがあれだけ露骨だったのに、二人が付き合っていることにまったく気づいていなかった。彼はうまい食事のほうを気にしていた（笑）。
カニスとアルナーが、無茶をする夫を叱るために平手打ちの稽古をしているのが最高に面白かった！ 将来アルナーが、本当に馬鹿なことをしたディアスに10連撃を入れる姿が余裕で想像できる。
クラウスとカニスの結婚式は可愛かった！ 新婚旅行用に、二人なりの「YES／NO枕」まで用意されているのが良い。
Dias' reaction faces are really the best. To no one's surprise, he never even realized that Canis and Klaus are in a relationship despite how open they were about it. He was more concerned about the good food. xD
Canis and Alna practicing their slaps to discipline their reckless husbands was pretty hilarious! I can definitely see Alna doing a 10-hit combo on Dias in the future for doing something really dumb.
Klaus and Canis' wedding was cute! I love that they even got their own version of the YES or NO pillow for their honeymoon. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
個人的には、王笏がただのマッチでしかないのを見るほうが恐ろしいと思う。解き放っているのではなく制御しているということで、つまりその武器を使いこなしているということだからだ。
I'd say watching the royal rod being only a match is more terrifying since it implies he's controlling it instead of letting loose, there by gaining mastery of the weapon
無限の食料生産ほど世界を不安定にする力は思いつかない。あの女の子が1人いるだけで、進軍中の軍隊のために食料を育てられる。それは帝国を作るのに充分だ。
王たちは、あの子たちを手に入れるために戦争を起こすだろう。
I cant think of a power more destabilizing to the world than infinite food production. Just one of those girls growing food for an army as it moves could help create an empire.
Kings would wage wars to acquire those girls.
