Yhwach couldn't predict uryu betrayal due to a reason, but explaining it would be spoiler, also for how he killed Senjumaru it will be explained in cour 4 and it's also the same reason on why yhwach couldn't predict his betrayal
Dude, that exact moment, the shot of the moon through Kira's stomach gets me every time I watch. It is so unexpected that the return of one of the most loveable leutenant hits me every time.
Indeed, he cannot help but see the parallels between his descendant and himself. Both born to guard the powerless yet used as pawns by the powers that be. Still, Yhwach the Auswählen merchant has no ground to warn Ichigo about backstabbers. The alternative he proposes to Ichigo also sucks for him and his loved ones. At the very least, his proposal could have included some measures to keep the current humans and souls alive in some capacity.

Yhwach is pretty interesting this episode.
He says Ichigo has no choice but to fight for the voiceless and the powerless, but he is projecting. He was born into this world for the sole purpose of bearing the pain of the Quincies who do not have a place in the cycle.
Yhwach's role in this world to hear the voices of the powerless Quincy, and fight until death. This is his projection
One detail that I don't see mentioned very often is how Byakuya managed to safely catch and save Hitsugaya... with a pile of blades. It's easy to forget that Senbonzakura isn't a bunch of petals, but rather a swarm of blades, reflecting light in such a way that they look like flower petals as they fly through the air.
Byakuya's control over Senbonzakura is so precise that he was able to catch, carry, and deposit Hitsugaya without leaving so much as a cut on him.
Last episode, Zaraki was able to catch Gerard’s stomp and knock him down with just his strength. He could destroy a meteor that could’ve destroyed the Sereitei with a single swing in his Shikai. Even in this episode, he was able to topple Gerard with just one arm after sustaining damage from his Bankai. So imagine being able to do all of that and your Bankai still tells you, your body isn’t strong enough to wield it properly yet. I understand it takes around 10 years to master Bankai but how strong will he be potentially? Do you want him to be able to bench press a planet? 😬
This actually validates Aizen's claim that Orihime's ability to reject anything is like that of a God. This is what I wanted from her in the Hueco Mundo arc. She initially stated that she was going to reject the Hougyokou, but that never went anywhere. This is a wish fulfillment I have had since back then and I love it.

I’m fairly confident the reason Ichigo had no visible reaction to Orihime’s sacrifice was because he basically decided the second she was gone that he was going to also sacrifice himself and become the Soul King right away to secure the victory that Orihime died for and make sure her effort hadn’t been for nothing.
Also I strongly suspect that the fact that Ichigo didn’t even want to take the time to say goodbye or explain his plan to everyone else before beginning the process of turning himself into the Soul King was because Ichigo was quietly NOT taking Orihime’s death well at all.
Ichigo instantly condemning himself to an eternity of imprisonment after failing to protect Orihime is perfectly on brand with how Ichigo deals with these kind of emotions. And his friends know that better than anyone after all they’ve been through. Ichigo is a depressed mess when he fails to protect after all 😂.
You will never know what it was like to hear a classic "Ban-KAI!" and "Getsuga TENSHO!!" after so many years.
With the correct colors too. Actual chills.

10+ years in the making. It's been a long time coming, but we're finally here at the 25th anniversary of 🔥BLEACH🔥 and it's only a temporary end.
I think I finally understand Lillie's claim that he is Yhwach's masterpiece. When Yhwach refined his soul distribution to have the sternritters we know today. He had to test the method until the Schrifts emerged.
About the "Nazi Swastika" on Ichigo's sword. It is actually simply a Japanese character called 'Manji', and a Buddhist symbol which is related to fortune and prosperity. But of course, for us westerns, the bad meaning the nazis gave it is the first one we think about.
In Japanese mythology, Jizō is the guardian deity of deceased children and stillborn babies. Since Mayuri experienced the consecutive failures of Nemuri I through VI like a "parent" grieving six stillborn children, his Bankai design makes a lot more sense after this episode. He spent decades birthing and losing his own "children" before his 7th iteration, Nemu, finally survived.
Actually, it makes sense that these Bleach terms are harder for Western fans to distinguish, since English relies on a phonetic alphabet. In the original Japanese, however, these terms use Kanji (ideograms), meaning each character inherently carries a specific visual and historical meaning.
Take the four core Shinigami combat arts, known collectively as Zankensoki (斬拳走鬼):
(斬/Zan) Zanjutsu — swordsmanship. "斬" literally means to cut or slay, and "術" means technique. So it literally translates to "the art of slaying."
(拳/Ken) Hakuda — hand-to-hand combat. Represented by "拳" (fist).
(走/So) Hoho — footwork. Represented by "走" (running).
(鬼/Ki) Kido — demon/spirit arts. "鬼" historically refers to the souls of the dead, so Kido can be understood as the mystic arts of spirits and the deceased.
Kido is further subdivided by the first character of each type: Hado (破道, "way of destruction"), Bakudo (縛道, "way of binding"), and Kaido (回道, "way of healing").
yes, you are right with uryu. the plot twist is not "uryu is not a traitor." it is "how can uryu kill yhwach?" and all the clues without any explanation (will be in cour 4) are him killing senjimaru, helping yhwach escape hikufune's cage, and most importantly... how did he survive auswahlen as much as being half pure quincy like his mother. cour 4 will reveal the truth.
The real question is WHY THE FUCK IS MAYURI FREE.
I get he did his work and was 1/3 of why the SS won, but he unironically has done more war crimes than Yhwach and Aizen combined and he is probably a child in their eyes.
If he wanted to he could just cause a disease that makes you perpetually in a state of dying, and no one can say with 100% guarantee he would not do that if it benefited him
Yeah that’s why they did a focused shot of Ichigo’s Getsuga Jujisho (cross) right after that. The “cross” of Jujisho is symbolism for Ichigo as the “Savior”. Ichigo is the true savior
This is why Yhwach constantly calls him the “‘Son’ of Darkness”, Ichigo is himself a parallel to the son of god

Yeah. I still would've loved to see the characters mourn a little bit more. Orihime was always the "cinnamon roll" of the crew, losing her should've been a little bit more impactful in my opinion (specially for Ichigo considering that they eventually marry in the end). That was my only problem with this episode.
Now we can really see why Antithesis can stand up to the Almighty. Being able to alter Yhwach’s chosen future is insane. Also lovely to see Harribel again.
It's wild to take into consideration that Ichigo, and Uryu are cousins, and they both lost their mother's to the god of Quincies actions. One heck of a way for family bonding.
😮😮😮😮this is way too much to process that guy just killed his own family and for what?? He's an evil version of Gol D. Roger(1 piece)but the worst 😮😮😮😮@ least Both Gol D Rogers and Whitebeard treasured their families
After TYBW, I now realize that white used to give ichigo full video game tutorials on his own kit in his inner world, and ichigo would stand there like 🫤
It’s not about which one looks better it’s about who used this technique here because of Aizen’s Kyōka Suigetsu the person who fired hado here was Ichigo that’s why the color was different to match ichigo’s theme this was a great touch from the studio and kubo the goat and finally it was all according to Aizen’s plan
