Chainsmoker Cat's official channel posted Mini Anime #18 on September 6, and the whole short is built around Aru-neko handing out new nicknames — the perpetually unlucky Landlord becomes "Hage-chan" ("Baldy"), while fellow tenant Penpen gets tagged "Boro-chan" ("Raggedy"), a jab that lands harder once you remember his liver is already wrecked from years of drinking. Across the clip's 324 comments, the top reaction — 667 likes — just calls the Landlord's new nickname straight-up hilarious, and the rest of the thread mostly agrees. From there, commenters worked through the short's other running bit: the Landlord lending manga to his tenants no matter how badly the last loan came back, this time handing over a volume of beastfolk pin-up art without hesitation. A side thread briefly argued over a fan-written exchange referencing an off-screen "centaur incident" — someone had to clarify it wasn't actually from the source material, just a bit they made up on the spot — while others traced a shot of Aru-neko drying out a borrowed book back to an identical scene in the show's "Nanmonee" music video. By the end, the thread lands on one verdict: after two different tenants have already trashed books he's lent out, the Landlord keeps doing it anyway — which more than one commenter says makes him basically a saint at this point.
